Marc Hagel Signs With South Carolina Stingrays

Former Princeton forward Marc Hagel signed with the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL, the team announced.

Hagel previously played with the Lake Erie Monsters in the AHL in 2013 after his season with Miami University of Ohio ended. In Lake Erie, Hagel registered two assists in six games.

Hagel, who captained the Tigers in 2011-12, appeared in 92 games for Princeton, recording 34 points. Hagel earned the team’s Norman Blackwell Trophy his senior year and appeared on the last Tiger team to make the NCAA Tournament.

The Hamilton, Ontario native appeared in three games his junior year and was redshirted due to medical reasons. He transferred to Miami University after graduating from Princeton, where he scored 19 points.
